According to a survey research by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, Pentecostals grow much faster than we thought. But what do the figures really say? The number of Pentecostal/Charismatic Christians is estimated to be 500,000,000, a figure that is almost the same as the one that circulated ten years ago. No wait, it is exactly the same. What do we make of 56% Pentecostals in Kenya? Have they borrowed some Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons perhaps? Should the Southern Baptists start digging trenches to seal off the Bible Belt from the 23% tongues-speakers? Yeah, Pentecostals. They believe that Jesus is coming back real soon. Although some don’t. Or only on Sunday.
