International conference on Pentecostalism

EUROPEAN RESEARCH NETWORK ON GLOBAL PENTECOSTALISM (GloPent)

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

“The Interdisciplinary Study of Global Pentecostalism”

Venue: Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam
April 27-28, 2007

This is the second GloPent conference in a series of three on the interdisciplinary study of the exponential growth of global Pentecostalism. The first was held in Birmingham (January 2006) and the third will take place in Heidelberg in 2008. These conferences serve to prepare for the publication in 2009 of a handbook on the study of Pentecostalism.  In the Amsterdam conference five authors, each presenting the ‘state of the art’ in their own discipline, will present drafts of their chapters in the handbook for discussion. Besides this, papers will be read on current research done in the three universities that form the GloPent network: Birmingham, Heidelberg and Amsterdam.
