My name is Ghanna Loot, born on the 25th of August 1981 in Amsterdam.

In 2005 I finished the study cultural anthropology at the VU with a thesis on a new spiritual game in the Netherlands. With two children at home I try to write more about the subject.

I read with interest your postings on ‘liminality’ and ‘communitas’. If you have written something critically on Turner’s liminality ans communitas, could you kindly share with me? I am broadly re-thinking the concept of communitas in the case of car festival of Lord Jagannath, the Hindu pantheon on Puri, India.
