Dina Zbeidy

Dina Zbeidy completed her Bachelor degree in Sociology, Anthropology and Political Science. In 2010 she received the Fulbright Scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in Anthropology at Columbia University New York. Her focus lays on theories of nationalism, state building, colonization and indigenous studies. Her final thesis researched the education policies of the State of Israel and how they attempt to shape different national and non-national identities in accordance with state-ideologies.  She is currently a PhD student at the University of Amsterdam, with the ERC-funded Project Problematizing “Muslim Marriages”: Ambiguities and Contestations.
