This year I started a new series, in Dutch, called the Surveillance Series. The series tracks how Muslims respond to ongoing surveillance by public institutions, banks, and so on. The series will be continued in 2023 (a new post coming up soon!).

In 2023 many of the themes above will be continued (watch out for a new post on Islamophobia!) and I will continue (and step up) my efforts for the repatriation of men, women and children from Syria. At Radboud University we will intensify our commitment to the theme of migration and religion, so you can also expect updates on that as well as new (co-authored) publications on counter-radicalization policies, talking back, and so on.
Thanks everyone for reading, suggesting new topics, responding to my silly questions and I hope we can also continue this in 2023. For now, enjoy the last moments of 2022 and all the best to you and your families in 2023!
