Rwina – Stijl in debat 3

Rwina – Stijl in debat

Double Dutch

It is 400 years ago that the first Dutch people founded New Amsterdam, the place that is currently known as Manhattan. For both the US and the Netherlands (ok and Belgium too) it seems to have become an event celebrating their self-proclaimed image of progress, pioneership, entrepeneurship, tolerance and (delusions of) grandeur. There has been some criticism about the (positive) way current Dutch society is covered in the American press but what is left out is the Dutch involvement in slave trade and the way they dealt with Native Americans.

Stay organized: Tools for research and teaching

When doing research one of the most difficult tasks is preventing information overload. Fortunately there are several things you can use to create and maintain some order in the chaos.
