Zowel de EO als Straat-Dawah werken hier vanuit een specifiek religieus-sociaal engagement en morele ambitie.
During a debate at Georgetown University’s Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding a delegation of representatives from the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) was present. Pinto stelt hier een ideaalbeeld van de Nederlandse samenleving tegenover alle mogelijk negatieve stereotyperingen van de allochtoon. Het is wensdenken wat Pinto hier doet. Ja, het is heel erg met die allochtonen. En ‘wij’ zijn dus echt superieur ten opzichte van die pre-moderne horden. Niet de slechte integratie van allochtone jongeren is het probleem; figuren als Pinto zijn onderdeel van het probleem.
